  • YES! Alf Budweth is a certified animal nutritionist who was the primary formulator for many of out house blends and has worked closely with many farmers, horseman and zookeepers to keep their animals healthy.

  • A minimum of 10 hens to 1 rooster is ideal. A younger rooster will often need more to prevent the hens from being overworked, An older rooster can have a few less if he is gentle with his ladies.

  • Alfalfa - A quick release energy source.

    Timothy - A slow release energy source.

    Alfalfa+Timothy Mix - Is an aproximatly 50:50 blend of instant energy and slow release energy.

  • Place your bird feeder in an open area away from launch points such as fences, buildings or trees. Use a squirrel "proof" feeder.

  • Depending on the animal, there is a chance we have a feed that can be your animal's primary or a suplimentary feed. We have recipies for mini pigs, rodents, rabbit, emu and alpaca. We also have recipies for a variety of animals that we do not make on a regular basis. Please call the store and talk to Alf about what feeds we have available for you.

  • No. Chickens, ducks, turkey's and emu all eat different feeds. Some are similar enough that at times some of the feeds can be substituted temporarily however each feed has nutrients specifically calibrated for each species group.

  • When it comes to any kind of medication we recommend consulting your vet to create an action and maintenance plan.

  • We have bait boxes, traps, soft bait and paraffin blocks.

  • We carry different types of sprays, ultrasonic repellants, and tick removers.

  • Sheep can NOT eat goat feed but goats CAN eat sheep feed. Sheep have a sensitive digestive system while goats are much hardier. While sheep feed does not have everything a goat needs in their diet it will not harm them. Goat feed can.
